TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF HIRE
We do have terms and conditions of hire which are listed below and in order for us to supply any equipment must be complied with. This will ensure that we will always be able to provide a professional service and make your party or event a safe and fun place to be. These terms and conditions of hire are in addition to our standard hire agreements.
“Hiree" means the person/s, organisation or company that has hired the equipment.
“Self-supervision” means the “Hiree” is to hire the equipment to operate and supervise the use of themselves.
“Staffed” hire means the hire of the booked equipment is accompanied by a staff supervisor from Huff n Puff Parties and Events to supervise the use of the equipment.
"Users" means the person/s using the equipment.
Insurance and Liability:
Huff n Puff Parties and Events public liability insurance policy covers the use of the equipment whilst on staffed hire only.
Equipment hired on a self-supervision basis is not covered by our insurance policy. It is the responsibility of the Hiree to ensure adequate insurance cover for the equipment and its use.
The hiree agrees to reimburse Huff n Puff Parties & Events for any damage or theft of equipment whilst on hire.
All equipment is used entirely at the users/hirees own risk, whether or not the equipment is on staffed hire or not.
Booking deposits are non refundable.
All cancellations or changes in booking must be notified in writing. Cancellations will be charged as follows: more than 28 days notice loss of the deposit paid. 14-28 days notice loss of deposit paid. Separately 50% of the hire fee will be due. 8-14 days notice loss of deposit paid. Separately 75% of the hire fee is payable. 7 days or less notice loss of deposit paid. Separately 100% of the hire fee is payable. Please note that inclement weather shall deem all Invoices payable in full.
Payment must be received 7 days prior to the event date. In the event of a short notice booking where balance payments are due on delivery, equipment will not be put on site until payment in cash or debit/credit card is made.
For clients with approved account facilities our payment terms are strictly 30 days from invoice date. . Please note that late payment is subject to interest charges and associated compensation payment under the UK Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Once an order has been received whether the Hiree has booked by telephone, email or otherwise, has returned a signed hire agreement and or paid a deposit or not, the Hiree is deemed to have read, fully understood and fully agree to the terms and conditions of hire.
Bookings are secured upon receipt of a deposit payment or in the case of clients with approved account facilities upon receipt of a signed hire agreement.
Huff n Puff Parties and Events liability shall be limited to a refund of any monies paid for unforeseen insurmountable circumstances that prevent us from fulfilling our obligations to supply equipment or due to mechanical breakdown or equipment failure. In the event of a delayed start Huff n Puff Parties and Events liability shall be limited to a pro rata reduction in the hire fee. No additional compensation payment will be made for loss of earnings or any other consequential loss.
All equipment on hire or loan shall remain the property of Huff n Puff Parties and Events.
All equipment will be delivered and set up to one location on the site as agreed and cannot be moved or relocated once unloaded.
Our delivery vehicles are to be allowed drive on access to the exact location to where the equipment is to be installed, or if to a building as close as possible to the installation location. If no prior written notice has been received, we may refuse to install the equipment if upon arrival it is found that the exact installation location is over 50 metres from the delivery vehicle, or the client has failed to notify us regarding obstacles such as stairs etc… in such a case the full hire fee will be payable.
The Hiree is responsible for providing a safe electricity supply for the equipment if required unless generators have been hired.
The Hiree must ensure that the proposed operating site for the equipment is clear of any obstacles that may prove to be a hazard for the safe installation and operation of the equipment and clear of any underground services (gas/electricity /water). Huff n Puff Parties & Events cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to underground services by the erection of any supplied equipment.
The Hiree responsibility to ensure that any fittings, furnishings or other items are removed or covered with protective material. Huff n Puff Parties and Events cannot be held responsible for any damage to fittings or furnishings, however caused, although every precaution is taken.
The Hiree is responsible for ensuring that adequate first aid facilities are available if necessary.
For equipment hired on a self-supervision basis the Hiree is responsible for ensuring that all safety regulations are enforced and that equipment is constantly supervised as per the operating instructions issued.
No sub-letting of equipment is permitted without the written authorisation of Huff n Puff Parties and Events.
For equipment hired on a self-supervision basis the Hiree is responsible for ensuring that inflatable equipment is not used in inclement weather conditions. In the event of heavy rain or winds exceeding 38km/h (Force 5 Beaufort Scale), the unit should be deflated immediately and then re inflated once the winds or rain subsides, ensuring that the paly surfaces are not excessivly wet, these can be dried with a towel or similar. Beaufort Scale description = Fresh Breeze – Small trees in leaf begin to sway.
The Hiree is responsible for ensuring that any special licences or permission for use of hired equipment are obtained as necessary.
The hiree is responsible to ensure our delivery vehicles are provided with free allocated parking on site.
The Hiree is responsible for ensuring that adequate security and crowd control measures and barriers are in place prior to the event commencement.
Huff n Puff Parties and Events reserve the right to withdraw any personnel, equipment or services from the site if our staff supervisors asses that the conduct of users or anyone else constitute a danger or risk the safety to themselves, other guests and or clients at the event or the equipment.
Huff n Puff Parties and Events operate a zero tolerance policy for verbal or physical abuse of its staff. No refund will be given and the full hire fee will be due whether the equipment and or staff has been temporally or permanently withdrawn.
Huff n Puff Parties and Events are unable to offer an outdoor service during the winter months from October to March.
Huff n Puff Parties and Events reserve the right to replace any equipment booked to the Hiree without notice or refund with similar type equipment and value should the reserved equipment become unserviceable prior to the hire booking.

All prices quoted are subject to VAT at the current rate.
